New Feature: Compliance Manager
Promoting quality on a granular level
Building a high-quality network is a top priority at Yahoo! Publisher Network. We’ve offered a plethora of blog posts to help you, the publisher, understand just what that means (like this one, this one, and this one). Ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, especially with regard to ad implementation and content, is a big part how we maintain that quality
With that in mind, we’re happy to unveil a new feature called Compliance Manager. This feature helps you pinpoint problems with the implementation of your Yahoo! ads, or problems with content on the same page as your Yahoo! ads, so that you can correct them—and keep the ads flowing.

Here’s how it works: If a compliance issue is detected on one of your URLs, you will be notified via email and through an alert in your secure account interface. These will direct you to your new Compliance Manager control panel. The Compliance Manager will inform you of what the issue is so that you have the opportunity to fix it. Once you’ve addressed the issue, you can then go back to the Compliance Manager to submit the remedied URL. We’ll get back to you with a status report, usually within seven business days.

If this is the wrong place to leave this message, I apologize. I have been searching the blog, and main YPN site for info. I would like to request a blog entry about how the BETA is proceeding.
I signed up for the BETA several months ago, and like many others, I have yet to be accepted. With over 30 million monthly impressions, I am anxious to test the waters with Yahoo, and see if it outperforms G Adsense, as I have been told by many that it does.
Just a quick update on the progress, and on when new applicants will be accepted would be greatly appreciated. hiram at bertoch dot com.

Hello,
I looked at my account and I dont see the Compliance Manager. Does it only appear when you get a Compliance? Thanks

It will appear under the Reports tab. It only shows up when a violation is logged. Once you’ve cleared the violation(s), the Compliance Managers will be hidden from view again.

Harrison asks:
When a compliance issue comes up will we still be suspended or will it show up on this specific page before we are suspended?
Good question, Harrison. The short answer is “no,” it will not show up on Compliance Manager before suspension takes place. If you have a violation on one of your URLs that is severe enough for that URL to be suspended, it will be suspended without prior warning. Of course, you will be notified of the suspension and be able to clear the violation through the Compliance Manager interface, once you’ve made the necessary changes.
For a lesser violation, however, you may be notified prior to suspension.

I originally had nothing bad to say about YPN until 13 days ago when my account was suspended/terminated (I still haven’t received that email as to why). I understand, invalid clicks, click fraud, international traffic, etc. So I was tired of waiting for this email I was suppose to get, then I called. They said it was “unique content”. What is this? Why wouldn’t the Compliance Manager pick this up? So is it safe to assume all YPN Publishers are not allowed to use articles such as those from ezinearticles? What about RSS Feeds?? With as much money as I was making Yahoo I didn’t get the opportunity to even fix my “unique content” issue, which could have been taken care of in 48 hours max. Very interesting…

[…] Yahoo recently launched their new Compliance Manager for the Yahoo Publishers Network members. It’s a good way of helping its members to fix problems which often lead to banning them. I recieved a message in my account that I have something to deal with in my compliance manager. It was just like this screen shot. http://www.jensense.com/archives/compliancemanager-alert.gif
When I check my compliance manager I see nothing listed. I have looked everywhere in the account and I see nothing wrong. What should I do? Was this a bug..it took place 30 minutes ago when I logged in.
